| Job History: |
 | After traveling the world as a member 0f Up With People, Scott moved to Colorado in 1994. He met his wife Dawn while working at a nursing home in Wheat Ridge. They were married in 2000, and have two children, Ella and Hank. Scott has been teaching at an elementary school in Littleton since 1999, and currently resides in Lakewood. Scott is a vegetarian and a peace activist who enjoys playing guitar and singing in his two bands, Egg Planet, and Formerly Known As. He is a volunteer sangha leader at the Eyes of Compassion Sangha in Denver; a Buddhist group that practices in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. Scott is currently finishing his degree in Political Science at Colorado State University.

| Scott would like to help preserve open space and put an end to the urban sprawl that we are witnessing all along the foothills of Jefferson County. He would like to see Jeffco take the lead in the use of alternative energy sources such as solar and wind technologies, and he believes in sustainable “green” development standards, such as those outlined by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Scott would also like to see Jefferson County adopt a system of Instant Run-off Voting, to ensure fair elections, and to help give voters a real choice in their elected officials.
