 | My name is Kevin M. O'Connor and I am in the process of obtaining a baccalaureate from Western Illinois University in the field of Law Enforcement and Political Science. I have been involved with movements for peace, labor, justice, the environment, and independent progressive politics for years. Currently, I am an active member of Near West Citizens for Peace & Justice, Campus Greens, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and the Young Irish Fellowship Club. I am also the Proviso Township Green Party Committeeperson and the endorsed Green Party candidate Illinois Green Party candidate for State Representative of the 41st District (which contains parts of Riverside, North Riverside, Brookfield, LaGrange Park, Westchester, Berkeley, Oak Brook, Oak Brook Terrace, Broadview, Western Springs, Elmhurst, Northlake, Villa Park, Lombard, Downers Grove, Westmont, and Hinsdale). |

| I am seeking public office in order to challenge the complacent and stagnant political environment of Illinois. The General Assembly is nearly void of leadership and requires an adjustment in composition. This state is in drastic need for change and I hope to provide the solutions to major problems we are currently facing. I also feel that corporate influence has put a stranglehold on democracy throughout the state, which is why I will REFUSE ALL CORPORATE CONTRIBUTIONS! |
