Important Issues:
Illinois• People First – A government that believes businesses exist for the betterment of people, not vice versa, that is driven not by corporate interests or big money, but by the people.
• Practical Idealism. Common sense, common ground, consistent life solutions to divisive issues such as abortion and gun control.
• Sustainable Economy – A retooled economy based on sustainability, and new green jobs - jobs that won’t leave the country.
• A Serious Path to Peace. A return of full control to the Iraqi government and the United Nations, enabling an Iraqi-led peace process. Engagement of regional actors including the Arab League and implement security arrangements that build a stable Iraq
• Coming Home - Support the Troops. Our troops, who have fought, been injured, and died must be taken care of. They deserve full educational benefits and a fully funded VA, with healthcare that includes mental health.
• Election Reform – Real democracy that involves everyone, re-engaging the disenfranchised. Implement instant runoff voting so multiple parties can be heard.
• Health Care for All – Assure fair, equitable, and affordable health care for all, with no one left out; a single payer system is the only way to achieve this goal.

Candidates who are running as endorsed greens or running non-partisan campaigns that are supported by the Green Party, from local to national office, may have a free web site through this page.
Green and Green-friendly campaigns that already have a web site, may still be listed in our directory with a link to their official election site.  Green candidates with little or no campaign budgets and no technical support can still have their qualifications, issues, and contact information available online.
