A New Menu for Democracy comes from the idea that as citizens in a democracy, we should not be like people visiting a restaurant, coming in periodically and chosing from a list of options. We should should be in the kitchen, with our sleeves rolled up, coming up with new ideas that will benefit us collectively. We need to create a new menu of services we need from our government, not accept the choices our government is offering us.
