Rodger is in favor of reducing the "pork" in our government and change how money is spent.

Although Rodger has never served in the armed forces, he greatly respects and honors the men and women of the armed forces that protect our freedom. It is not unusual to drive by his house where you will see the Unites States Flag displayed as Rodger is a proud patriotic American.

Rodger is a member of the Green Party and is the current Chairman of the Metro East Green Party which supports the counties of Madison, Macoupin, St. Clair, Jersey, and Calhoun. The Metro East Green Party is affiliated with the Illinois Green Party.

Important Issues:
IllinoisIt is a reality that our world is warming, and that the warming is caused by humans. It is our duty to make sure we find ways to stop global warming to allow future generations to enjoy life as we have.

Educate the public how to reduce waste and recycle.

Work for better public transportation.

Expand Metro Link in the 12th District to include Madison County.

Work with industries in the 12th District to reduce pollution output.

Encourage industries to find recycling methods to reuse materials for their products or, when expanding, to use existing buildings instead of damaging more green space with new construction.

Every person has a right to medical care in this country and each American has a right to pick who their doctor should be and where the medical care should be given. When people are sick, flexibility of where care can be sought can be a determining factor for a persons life or death decision. New treatments should be available for anyone, not just the rich

Health care is the number one issue facing Americans domestically. The cost of health care continues to soar and many Americans face life every day without health care or limited to special treatments that only the rich can afford. Today's system promotes greed and selfishness in the for-profit insurance companies. These companies deny coverage when ever possible placing more burdens on the every day citizen, and many times the ill person never gets the care before they die.

The best quality and most efficient health care system in the world today are government funded "single payer" systems that use a single, publicly accountable public agency to pay for the health care.

Health care is too important to our society to be left in the hands of corporate profiteers!

Violence is morally wrong, and does nothing to correct the problems at hand. It is our duty as leaders to show how negotiations can change a situation. Fighting and war never solves the problem, as it will leave underlying issues, no matter who wins the battle. It is important to vote for peace and learn to work with people.

Why Vote For Me:
Rodger Jennings for Green PartyJerry Costello has been in office for 20 years, and shows little leadership. He is mainly a follower and does little or nothing for the entire district as he usually focuses only on St. Clair County and a portion of Madison County. While the poor counties in Southern Illinois suffer, Jerry Costello ignores their needs. If you want someone who will represent you, and be available for you, then vote for me. I will be your representative, and vote your way, and look out for the entire district.
