Restoring Ownership Of The National Public Lands System And Reclaiming The Public Sector Natural Resource Management Profession

Dear Public Sector Natural Resource Management Professionals and Concerned Citizens in District 9:

You drive up to what you think is the front gate to Yellowstone National Park and the sign reads: “Yellowstone Park owned and operated by Acme, Inc.” You pay your high admission fee for entry expecting a professional staff of park rangers, the freedom to explore your park at your own leisure, and without being nickled and dimed to death. Too late!

Instead, what you find is a plethora of low paid, warm bodies in polo t-shirts stamped “Park Staff” driving around in golf carts. You ask them a question about the park. It is the same answer you might receive from an employee of a large retailer: “I think it is over on aisle ...

About Christopher Winter

Job History:
Christopher Winter for State RepresentativeUpon graduation from high school, I attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in wildlife conservation. After an enlistment in the U.S. Marine Corps as a military policeman, I earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial Management from Northeastern State University. Later, I pursued post-graduate work at Oklahoma State University in environmental science and sociology.
I have worked as an environmental department director, water planner, recreation planner, fisheries technician, park ranger, natural resource management instructor and activist. I currently teach sociology both online and on ground for several colleges.

I have lived in the Clearwater Valley for ten years with my wife Christine and children Carson, Bridger, and Hannah.

Important Issues:
WashingtonThere are two key issues I want to champion if elected as your Representative to the Washington State Legislature

I support undergraduate tuition waivers for all college students attending state-operated institutions regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, political orientation or sexual orientation.

I support a work and play standard benefit of a thirty day paid vacation for all workers. It is a grave social injustice to American workers that the stingy captains of industry and commerce always preach the 'work ethic' which is nothing more than a linguistic device to make Americans feel guilty for wanting to enjoy the pleasures of life like family, friends, vacations, and to take care of their health.

Why Vote For Me:
Christopher Winter for Green PartyA vote for the Republicans and Democrats is the same old stale ideologies of the past. We need fresh blood in policy making. Give me a shot!

Thank you.
Candidates who are running as endorsed greens or running non-partisan campaigns that are supported by the Green Party, from local to national office, may have a free web site through this page.
Green and Green-friendly campaigns that already have a web site, may still be listed in our directory with a link to their official election site.  Green candidates with little or no campaign budgets and no technical support can still have their qualifications, issues, and contact information available online.
