| Important Issues: | |
| 1. All effluent needs to be treated for bacteria as an immediate goal.
2. The district needs to develop and begin implementing plans to treat the waste water for all contaminants and for separating sewage from storm water runoff. 3. The district needs to stop sending solid waste containing various contaminants to farms for fertilizer. 4. We need to develop more localized treatment of wastes. We need to construct wetlands. 5. We need to eliminate any influence of 'connections' in contracting or hiring. |
| Why Vote For John Ailey: | |
| As a Green Party candidate I am dedicated to the 10 Key Values of the Green Party. I will not accept contributions from corporations or corporate PACs. I will represent only the needs of the people living in the MWRD area. I am becoming more and more knowledgeable about the what the MWRD is doing and what it needs to do. We have to be fically responsible. However, we have to do what is right for the protection of the people and protection of the environment. We have to find a way to fund the type of water treatment that we know has to be done. |
