Frank LoBiondo surprised many people by voting to allow oil drilling as close as 50 miles off U.S. coastlines, among them state government officials and environmental groups that expressed concern Wednesday. The bill was passed Tuesday night in the House. The measure would allow states bordering the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to approve offshore drilling 50 or more miles off their coasts. States would have no say in drilling that occurs 100 miles or more offshore. LoBiondo was one of only 15 Re-publicans who backed the bill. |

| Healthcare : 45 million Americans don’t have healthcare. America being one of the richest countries in the world, it should have a national single payer healthcare system to guarantee a basic level of care for every man, woman, and child. American business is crippled by healthcare cost that if they didn’t have to pay would allow businesses to expand and hire more workers. Therefore stimulating the economy. Senators and Congressmen enjoy the same free healthcare they deny normal citizens. If our country can put humans on the moon and spend 300 million dollars a day on a War in Iraq, then we can make sure everyone has healthcare.
Clean Elections : Most Americans agree we need to get the money out of Washington. Every election cycle Americas politicians are bought by big money corporations & labor unions. Any person will tell you people just don’t give you money for nothing- they want something in return. Politicians only job is to represent the publics best interests, how can they do that when they owe favors to companies with no conscious and whose only god is profit. That’s is why the Green Party doesn’t accept donations from companies or unions. it’s a crazy situation in America people want money out of politics but they don’t take you serious unless you have a million to spend on a campaign? Get out of Iraq : There are no proven connections between Iraq & 9/11 & there were no WMDs! So why are we there? Why have over 4,000 good Americans died in a foreign land that was of no threat. Why is that Osama bin Laden walks free in Afghanistan and we spend 300 million dollars a day on operations in Iraq? Independent Iraq is standing and wants to know when we plan to leave- I say now! Energy Independence : We now have system based around fossil fuels, the main problem with that is that they are inevitably going to run out. So to say we can’t stop using oil today or anytime soon you are probably correct, but American needs to lead the world in renewable energy initiatives. Wind Mills not Oil Rigs on our coastlines . Solar Power plants not Nuclear power plants in our backyards. Start the change now, so we can be pioneers like we were in space. Forcing the world to follow our lead and pay top dollar for technology. |
