Jesse Johnson is representing the obvious third party choice in the upcoming Special Election for the late Robert C. Byrd's US Senate seat, West Virginia's very own Mountain Party. Mr. Johnson was instrumental in helping to create the Mountain Party nearly 10 years ago and keeping the third party ballot option alive in West Virginia. Jesse is a two time Mountain Party nominee for Governor and 2008 Green Party candidate for President. In 2004 without the benefit of any corporate financial support he received 18,430 votes (2.48%) and then in 2008 making US history as the only third party nominee for Governor to receive 31,195 votes or 4.46% of voter support. |
